My Mentoring Philosophy

I believe in holistic mentoring that develops the whole person—combining rigorous research training with personal support, professional development, and ethical leadership.

1 Research Excellence

Mentees conduct rigorous, publishable research. Evidence: 45 publications co-authored with mentees. My goal is to launch careers with career-making first-author papers.1

2. Skill Development

I teach research design, statistics, writing, presentations, and ethics. Mentees master advanced methods and become independent researchers ready for PhD programs or careers.

3. Holistic Support

Beyond research: career planning, work-life balance, personal growth, and pastoral care. My mentorship develops the whole person for sustainable, fulfilling careers.

4. Global Perspective

Cross-cultural mentoring with international networks spanning Ghana, USA, and Europe. Mentees are equipped for globally-minded research careers.

5. Equity & Inclusion

Diverse mentee base with special focus on minority students. I’m committed to building inclusive research pipelines and supporting underrepresented scholars.
